Our Story
EthosOne was founded by Dave Yeates and Pete Holliday, two educators and leadership practitioners who share a deep commitment to helping schools lead with purpose, clarity, and confidence.
For Dave, the turning point came while serving on an independent school board that lacked even a functioning risk register. The experience revealed just how fragile governance can be when systems, structures, and confidence are missing. It sparked a conviction — that schools deserve better support and that great governance should be within reach for everyone willing to improve.
Pete’s journey has been shaped through years of coaching educational leaders, principals, and executives across the country. In countless conversations, one truth kept surfacing: the growing weight of administration was keeping passionate educators from doing what they do best — educating. Together, Dave and Pete saw how good people were being buried under compliance tasks and governance complexity, and how much potential was being lost in the process.
That realisation became the spark for EthosOne. They set out to make governance and compliance not just simpler, but meaningful — giving leaders the tools to manage the essentials without losing sight of their greater purpose: people, learning, and culture.
Since then, EthosOne has partnered with independent schools, boards, and executive teams to redefine strategy, elevate conversations, and strengthen the connection between governance and leadership performance. Drawing on their firsthand experience as parents and volunteers within faith-based school communities, they understand the unique cultural and ethical dimensions that shape every decision in education.
