01Accessibility and integration
Every member of staff reaches the one record, from every data point, on any device. 02Risk management and risk assessments
The activity is assessed before it happens, against the school's appetite, with hazards, controls and a rating a board can read. Module: Risk and Compliance. In the example: the camp risk assessment, drafted with the AI helper from the venue and the activity list, rated against appetite, returned by the head of outdoor education.
03Ownership and accountability
Every risk, control, task and policy has one named owner and a due date, and the record shows who changed what. Module: Core. In the example: the treatment for the water activity is owned by the head of outdoor education, due the Friday before departure.
04Policy
What the school does, written down, versioned, acknowledged by the people it binds. Module: PolicyAI, the policy library. In the example: the WHS Policy, section 4, the school's duty of care to staff and students on excursions, acknowledged by every staff member on the trip.
05Legislation
Why the school does it: the Act and the provision the policy clause answers, with its consolidation date. Module: PolicyAI, the legislation register. In the example: the Work Health and Safety Act 2011 (NSW), section 19, the primary duty of care, read at its own address.
06Regulatory readiness
The policy and the legislation mapped to the framework the school registers under, so the reviewer's question is already answered. Module: Regulatory Readiness. In the example: the NESA requirement on student welfare, linked to the WHS Policy and to the camp assessment as evidence it is applied.
07Assurance and ledgers
Proof that the work happened, logged as it happens, with a date and a person. Module: Risk and Compliance, the assurance logs. In the example: the bus checklist and the head count, logged on the morning of departure, from the car park.
08Evidence and resolutions
What was found and what was decided, kept together: the photograph attached to the log, the finding it produced, the board's resolution in response. Module: Board Engagement. In the example: the first-aid kit audit found one expired item; the board resolved to fund a second first-aid trainer, and the resolution names the finding.
09Reporting
The board pack built from the live record, every number opening to the record it came from. Module: Board Engagement, with Core reporting. In the example: the September pack's WHS page shows three camps assessed, one finding, one resolution, and the chair clicks through to the checklist.
10Strategy, direction and leadership
The direction the whole chain serves, set by the board and tracked to delivery. Module: Core, strategic planning. In the example: the strategic objective that every excursion is assessed before it leaves, reported each term as a percentage the board can see move.

No. Core is the record and the chain works with whichever modules you licence; a school on Core and Risk and Compliance runs links 1, 2, 3, 7, 9 and 10 and adds the rest when it is ready. What does not change is that each link is a record with an owner, not a file.
02Where does the AI sit in the chain?
At links 2, 4 and 5: drafting the risk assessment from the activity, drafting the policy clause from the provision, and reading the legislation at its own address. It never sets an owner, logs assurance or resolves anything; those are people's links.
