EthosOne and AccuFind announce collaboration to bring Policy Intelligence to ANZ independent schools
Category: insights · Date: 3 June 2026 · Author: EthosOne

Adelaide, 3 June 2026. EthosOne, the governance, risk, and compliance platform purpose-built for independent schools, today announced a collaboration with AccuFind, the Australian legal and policy intelligence platform used across government, law enforcement, and child protection. The collaboration sees the launch of PolicyAI, a new compliance intelligence layer for independent school policy libraries, now in early access for founding schools across Australia and New Zealand.
What PolicyAI is
PolicyAI is a compliance intelligence layer that turns a school's policy library from a document store into an obligation-aware governance asset. For every policy a school holds, PolicyAI maps the regulatory obligations the policy is required to address, counts each as Addressed, Partly addressed, or Not yet addressed, and shows the maximum penalties on those not yet addressed under the school's jurisdiction. Where an obligation is not yet addressed, PolicyAI proposes the missing wording against the relevant statutory text as tracked changes, ready for school leadership to review, accept, and approve. Each party retains ownership of its respective technology, data, and customer relationships.
The product is designed for the people accountable for school governance:
- Principals receive a count of obligations addressed, with the maximum penalties on the rest, that they can stand behind at registration and board review.
- Business Managers get legislative change reported by our team, obligation-level detail, and a Board report assembled without manual preparation.
- Boards get the Board report: obligations addressed by domain, what has changed, and the maximum penalties on what is not yet addressed, on a single page, every meeting.
A free, self-serve drafting tool is available now at ethosone.io/policyai/check-exposure. Founding schools begin onboarding to the full product over the coming term.
Why the collaboration
Independent schools sit at the intersection of state and federal regulation. The current sector reality is that policy libraries are maintained as documents, refreshed on an annual cycle, and rarely audited against the underlying obligations they are supposed to discharge. Gaps surface during registration reviews, legal discovery, or child-safety investigations, at which point the absence of a policy is not an oversight. It is a compliance failure.
Closing that distance at any meaningful scale requires two things at once: a school governance system that schools already run their operations on, and a regulatory intelligence layer that is genuinely current and grounded in primary law. EthosOne brings the first. AccuFind brings the second.
What AccuFind brings
AccuFind operates an Australian legal and policy research graph indexing 796,850 primary-source documents across 11 ANZ jurisdictions. The platform is trained exclusively on official legislation and regulations, never on user queries, and all processing occurs within Australian borders on AWS Sydney infrastructure. AccuFind aligns with the nine Australia New Zealand Policing Advisory Agency (ANZPAA) AI Principles, documented in its AI Policy & Governance framework, the same governance standard adopted across Australian law enforcement and government.
PolicyAI inherits these properties by design. Drafts are written against the relevant statute and accreditation guidance. What's changed shows the policies an obligation change touches. Customer policy text is never used to train models. Data sovereignty is preserved end-to-end. The Policy Intelligence capability that underpins PolicyAI counts policy coverage, tracks legislative change, and maps obligations to primary law.
"Schools carry a huge amount of legal obligation with very little help reading it. AccuFind already keeps the legislation current and traceable back to source, so putting that underneath a tool schools actually use was an obvious fit," said Hamish Cameron, Founder & CEO, AccuFind.
What EthosOne brings
EthosOne is the governance, risk, and compliance platform purpose-built for independent school principals, business managers, and boards across Australia and New Zealand. The platform replaces spreadsheets and PDFs with structured infrastructure for compliance calendars, risk registers, assurance workflows, board reporting, and now policy intelligence. Founding customers are onboarding through 2026.
"PolicyAI is the result of pointing two genuinely useful systems at the same problem," said Dave Yeates, Co-founder and CEO, EthosOne. "Schools have been asked to keep up with regulatory change by reading newsletters and updating a Word document. That was never going to work. With AccuFind's graph underneath EthosOne's governance surface, our customers stop chasing the law and start governing it."
Availability
The PolicyAI free drafting tool is live now at ethosone.io/policyai/check-exposure. EthosOne formally introduces itself to the Australian education sector at EduTECH in Sydney, 3 to 4 June 2026, where the founding team will demonstrate PolicyAI live at ICC Sydney. The full PolicyAI module ships inside EthosOne as part of early access, with broader availability planned through the second half of 2026.
